This privacy policy applies to the EzyRyde Rider and Driver mobile applications available on the Google Play Store.

Your privacy matters to EzyRyde.
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how EzyRyde (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, processes, stores, retrieves, discloses, transfers, and protects your information when you access or use:
- The EzyRyde mobile application.
- The EzyRyde website.
- Any services offered by EzyRyde (collectively, the “EzyRyde Platform”).
This Policy applies to Riders, Drivers, and all users of the EzyRyde Platform.
2. USER ACCEPTANCE
By downloading, accessing, or using the EzyRyde Platform, you agree to and consent to this Privacy Policy and its future amendments. If you do not agree with this Policy, you must discontinue use of the EzyRyde Platform.
You represent that:

3. DEFINITIONS
- Driver: Independent electric auto-rickshaw operators offering services via EzyRyde.
- Rider: A person booking rides through the EzyRyde Platform.
- Device: Mobile phone, tablet, or computer used to access services.
- Personal Information: Data identifying an individual.
- Sensitive Personal Data: Government IDs, biometric data, health data.
- TPSP: Third-Party Service Provider.
4. PERMISSIONS AND DATA USAGE DISCLOSURE
(Google Play & Apple App Store Compliance).
EzyRyde requires device permissions for core functionality:
- Location (Foreground & Background): Ride matching, navigation, real-time tracking, safety, fraud prevention.
- Phone: Masked communication between Riders and Drivers.
- SMS: OTP verification only; no storage or sharing.
- Camera: Profile photos, KYC, document uploads.
- Storage: Secure document storage.
- Notifications: Ride alerts, payments, safety updates.
EzyRyde does not use permissions for advertising, surveillance, or unauthorized tracking.
5. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
5.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, mobile number, email, date of birth, gender, profile photo, login credentials, payment details (as permitted by law).
- Driver Verification (KYC): Aadhaar, PAN, driving license, vehicle registration, insurance documents, live selfies.
- Vehicle Information: Vehicle number, electric vehicle type, compliance and battery details.
- Customer Support & Feedback: Messages, complaints, ratings, referrals.

- Real-time precise GPS location while the app is in use

- OTP verification for ride start
- Device & Technical Information

5.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: Drivers: Foreground & background when On-Duty; Riders: During ride requests and trips.
- Transaction Information: Trip history, pickup/drop points, fare details, payment status.
- Device & Usage Information: IP address, device model, OS version, app interactions, crash data.
- Calls & SMS: Call recordings with customer support; OTP messages only.
- Cookies: Used to enhance app and website experience.
5.3 How We Use This Information
- We use the collected information to:
- Match riders with nearby drivers
- Provide real-time ride tracking and navigation
- Calculate fares and process payments
- Ensure safety through OTP and live location sharing
- Improve app performance through analytics and crash reporting
- Provide customer support
- Reward drivers with performance points

5.4 Third-Party Services We Use
- Our app uses trusted third-party services that may process user data on our behalf:
- Firebase (Google) - for push notifications, crash reporting, analytics, and device identification
- Payment Gateway Providers (such as Razorpay / UPI providers) - to process ride payments securely
- Maps & Location Services (Google Maps) - for navigation, route calculation, and live tracking
- Backend Cloud Servers - to store ride, user, and driver data securely
- These services may collect device, location, and usage data as required for their functionality and operate under their own privacy policies.
5.5 Data Retention and Deletion
- We retain user and ride data only as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations.
